TURN YOUR PC INTO A Wi-Fi HOTSPOT USING WINDOWS 10

It comes with a built-in feature to turn your PC into a Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing it to share its wired as well as a wireless Internet connection with other wireless devices in the range.

Here is our step-by-step guide on how to turn your Windows PC into a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Before we start, you should make sure that you’re running Windows 10 with the Anniversary Update installed. With this update, now Windows has a single option to turn any PC with Wi-Fi into a hotspot, no matter whether you want to share wired or wireless Internet connection.

Let’s get started with the process to turn your Windows PC into a Wi-Fi hotspot.
  • Press Windows+L to open Settings
  • Select Network & Internet
  • From the left window pane, click on Mobile hotspot
  • Turn on Share my Internet connection with other devices option from the right edge of the screen
By default, Windows will provide a network name along with a password; however, you can change the details if you want. To do so,
  • Enter the desired network name and password within Edit network info pop-up window option
  • Click Save
That’s it!

You have successfully set your Windows PC as a Wi-Fi hotspot within just a few clicks.

If you want to pair any other device to your PC via Bluetooth, then simply enable the option for Turn on remotely.
