How to Enable Night Light in Windows 10

One of the best new features in Windows 10 Creators Update is Night Light, a ‘blue light filter’ that makes the screen color gamma more comfortable for your eyes at night. The feature is something like SunsetScreen or F.lux that lets you dim your screen and make the display warmer over the time automatically. Let’s go through the guide on how to enable Night Light on Windows 10.
The Night Light feature in Microsoft Windows 10 Creators Update works just like Night Shift in iOS and Blue Shade on Amazon’s Fire tablets. Once you enable the mode, it minimizes the impact of your system’s screen contrast and temperature. Here’s how to configure and enable Night Light in Windows 10:
Enable Night Light in Windows 10

1. First of all, open the Settings panel on your Windows system by pressing the Win + Ibuttons together. Alternatively, you can find the Settings option in Win + X menu

2. Navigate to Settings > Display section. Under the Brightness and Color settings, you can see Night Light option at the right side

3. Before toggling the switch to the right, click on the blue Night Light settings option to set it up correctly. On the resulting screen, you’ll find a bar that helps you choose from the levels of the color temperature. In case you move the bar towards the left side, the screen will look warmer. So, just select a color temperature level using the bar

4. If you don’t want to enable Night Light manually, then you can also set a schedule to turn it on or off automatically. In order to set a schedule, toggle the switch next to the Schedule Night Light option

5. Now, you’ll see two different options – Sunset to Sunrise and Set Hours. If you want to use Night Light from sunset to sunrise, select the first option. Or else, click on the Set Hours option and enter the desired times when you want to enable Night Light automatically
