How To Install An OS Off Of A Flash Drive IN 3 STEPS!!!!
1. U NEED TO Format a 4GB USB FLASH drive
Head into “Computer” or “My Computer” and locate your USB FLASH drive. In this instance, we’re dealing with the F: drive. Right click on the drive and choose “Format…” Then, we want to format the drive using the NTFS file system with the default allocation size, so make sure those two things are selected from the dropdown menus. You can check the Quick Format box, too, if it’s not already checked.
now go to ur dvd rom where ur win7 CD is sloted in and open it go to the “boot” folder, inside which we’ll find a file called “bootsect.exe” that we’ll need to use.
we’re going to copy this bootsect.exe file into an easy-to-access location “My Computer” or C: drive.
2. Next is to open the Command Prompt( type cmd and right click run as admin)
If you’re using Vista or Windows 7, you’ll have to “Run as administrator” So go into Programs > Accessories and then right-click on Command Prompt and choose “Run as administrator.”
we should have
C:Windows\system32>
now type cd/ and hit enter
We should then have a straight-up C:\>
Now type
“bootsect /nt60 f:” (without the quotes):
We’re assuming the drive letter of your USB flash drive is F:, so replace “f:” in the above phrase with whichever letter is assigned to your particular FLASH drive. Hit enter
When YOU SEE bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volumes.This just means that the flash drive is now ripe to auto-load when you boot up your computer.
3. OPEN THE WIN7 DVD AND COPY THE FILES INTO THE FLASH DRIVE AND YOU ARE DONE!
YOUR FLASH IS READY TO BOOT FROM YOUR FLASH
NOTE:
-Also, this is important so remember this, after you boot from your USB flash and it copies the Windows 7 files over and installs them, it will restart your computer to finish the setup, right after it finishes this, it will reboot and a black screen box will come up. Make sure you unplug your USB flash from your computer on the first restart so it doesn't boot off your USB flash again and start the installation process over.
NOTE ALSO ONCE U ON UR SYSTEM PRESS F10 go to boot option and change boot order to USB as 1st
